Join IWR at the MSU Science Festival on April 8 to create your own edible ice cream aquifer and learn about the water underground. IWR staff are returning to this year’s Festival to offer two sessions of this popular workshop. Participants will find out how groundwater in an aquifer can become contaminated by watching what happens when you start adding chocolate syrup, sprinkles, and soda to your ice cream aquifer. In the end, everyone gets to eat what they create. We hope to see you on April 8 to learn about aquifers, groundwater, their importance and actions people can take to protect these resources.
Two sessions will be offered starting at 3:00 and 4:00 PM on 4/8 in Rm 1415, Biomedical and Physical Sciences Building on MSU’s campus.
